Always apply to clean armpits. Wash and scrub your underarms to git rid of sweat, bacteria, and old deodorant.
Wear natural fabrics. Natural fibers like cotton, wool, bamboo, rayon, and hemp allow your skin to breathe.
Apply more than once a day. With most natural deodorants, once a day probably isn't enough. Without aluminum, your pits may start to produce more sweat initially.
Expect dampness. It's normal. Pore-blocking aluminum isn't, so expect mild, less smelly sweating.
Drink water and mind what you're eating. Drinking more water can literally "water down" your sweat, making it less smelly. Certain vegetables containing sulfur and other items, such as broccoli, red meat, and strong spices (curry, garlic, cumin), are working against your natural deodorant, so keep this in mind.
Give it time. Every body is different, so it may take some 2 weeks, and others 8 weeks, to adjust to using a natural deodorant. Usually, you can adjust within 30 days.
Choose the brand that's best for you. Naples Soap Company's natural deodorant is free from toxins/irritants like aluminum, talc, baking soda, alcohol, parabens, phthalates, sulfates and silicone. We include arrowroot powder for absorption and use moisturizing and antibacterial oils to help keep your armpits smooth and smelling their best!
